Minimising the impact of COVID-19

[Updated 8 December 2020]

Since late March 2020 ESS Earth Sciences has been operating with most of our staff working from home to minimise the chance of exposure to Coronavirus to the on-site staff in our Production Area. Operations have continued without major interruption, despite the challenges that the pandemic brings to so many aspects of our daily lives. Our manufacturing is based in Melbourne, Victoria, where the second wave of Coronavirus infections meant months of strict controls to contain the outbreak, but we were able to remain open for on-site work allowing instrumentation production to continue.

We would like to thank our staff, customers and suppliers for working within the community guidelines to ensure everyone is kept safe. Through individual sacrifice, and a concerted effort to adapt to managing a business under rapidly changing landscape, we are now in a position to return all staff to full time operation in 2021 after the holiday break, although working from home will become part of the new “COVID-normal” for some of our staff.

ESS Earth Sciences is committed to supporting our customers to continue their important work in monitoring the environment to ensure the security of the world’s critical infrastructure. If you would like to discuss how we can work together to ensure business continuity, please speak to your usual contact at ESS, or get in touch with us using the form on this page and your details will be directed to the appropriate person as soon as possible.
