Description

Staff Gauges – Depth Measurement

Enamelled iron staff gauges are highly resistant to rust, corrosion, and discolouration, and organic/marine growth is easily washed off, so they will last for many years in even the harshest environment. Ideal for water level depth measurements.

Style M is the metric gauge typically used in Australia for water body depth measurement. They are supplied in 1m lengths with pre-drilled fastening holes. Gauge widths can be made to your specification.

Number marker plates are available in a variety of sizes:

  • 51 x 77mm
  • 77 x 103mm
  • 103 x 154mm.

Please let us know which plate size you require.

Stainless Steel Core Staff Gauges

Staff gauges with a marine-grade stainless steel core and enamelled outer plating are also available. These gauges are ideal for coastal areas as the stainless steel core will not corrode in the event the enamel outer is chipped.

The metal gauges are typically placed on a redwood, cypress, cedar or synthetic board of suitable width and the board itself it then attached or embedded to the wall. Mounting a staff gauge directly to concrete or metal structures is also done, but care should be taken so that the mounting screws are not excessively tightened since this could chip or fracture the porcelain. Each staff gauge includes pre-drilled mounting holes to avoid chipping or fracturing during fitting.

Bespoke Depth Gauges

We can supply gauges with bespoke gauge designs to suit your requirements. Using the same metalcore and enamelled outer we can supply a gauge with your design.

We also supply yellow staff gauges for visibility in snowy conditions.
