Staff Gauge

Hard coated metal staff gauges and number plates available in metric and imperial graduations (U.S. staff gage)

Description

These enamelled iron gauges are highly resistant to rust, corrosion, and discolouration, and organic/marine growth is easily washed off, so they will last for many years in even the most harsh environment.

The Style M is the metric gauge typically used in Australia. Number marker plates are available in a variety of sizes: 51x77mm, 77x103mm, and 103x154mm.

We also supply yellow plastic staff gauges for use in snowy conditions.

The metal gauges are typically placed on a redwood, cypress, cedar or synthetic board of suitable width and the board itself it then attached or embedded to the wall. Mounting a staff gauge directly to concrete or metal structures is also done, but care should be taken so that the mounting screws are not excessively tightened since this could chip or fracture the porcelain. Each staff gauge includes pre-drilled mounting holes with a brass grommet ring to help avoid any porcelain chipping or fracturing during fitment.
