Weather Resistant Net Radiometer NR Lite2

NR Lite2 is designed for routine measurement of net radiation which is the balance between incoming and outgoing radiation under outdoor conditions.

The NR Lite2 net radiometer is nearly maintenance-free and extremely easy to use, an ideal radiometer for all applications.

Description

NR Lite2 net radiometer

The design of the NR Lite2 net radiometer is very easy to use and requires little maintenance.

The double-sided design features a thermopile detector and black PTFE coated conical absorbers with anti-stick weather resistant protective coating. This provides a very wide spectral response from the ultraviolet to the infrared.

The output signal is the difference between the radiation from the sun (sky) and the ground radiation.

In contrast to other sensor designs, NR Lite2 requires no fragile plastic domes. This results in a virtually maintenance-free design.

The NR Lite2 comes with a vertical stick designed to prevent birds from affecting the output signal.

For ease of mounting the NR Lite2 has a mounting rod that is compatible with the Kipp and Zonen CMB1 mounting brackets. Using this system the NR Lite2 can be attached to walls/flat surfaces and poles, giving great positioning versatility.

These net radiometers are ideal for agricultural-meteorological monitoring as well as hydrological and climate studies, their simple and robust design allows them to be placed in the harshest of environments.
