Bridge Monitoring using Radar

The Metasensing radar, when used in RAR mode (Real Aperture Radar), can scan an entire structure for synchronous multi-point displacement monitoring in real-time, up to 4000 scans per second. In this video, the response of a rail bridge is monitored as trains of a different type, speed, and load pass. The differences in modal frequency response is easily visible. This type of scanning can be used on bridges, buildings, poles, towers, and any other structure where real-time sub-millimetre displacements and frequency scans are required. High-resolution displacement scanning can be achieved from up to 4km away from your structure, and at a typical distance of tens or hundreds of metres the grid scanning resolution is 0.5 metres.
